    Manuel Antonio National Park is the country’s smallest national park, but also one of its most amazing and second most visited park in the whole country. This national park epitomizes everything tourists flock to Costa Rica to see: abundant exotic wildlife, stunning beaches, a magnificent setting with islands offshore (bird sanctuaries for marine species), lush rain forest laced with a network of welcoming trails, extraordinary bird watching, and all within a short ride from Los Altos. You are sure to have close up encounters with monkeys, sloths, coatmundis, iguanas, frogs, morpho butterflies, and colorful birds. Not to mention seeing some of the world’s most beautiful, intriguing trees, plants and flowers.
  • Catamaran Tour
    Sail aboard the Tom Cat II and explore the Manuel Antonio Marine Preserve and watch dolphins, sea turtles, whales and birds in their natural habitat.  Observe many species of colorful tropical fish while snorkeling within a protected bay. Enjoy a feast of grilled fish brochettes, pasta salad and fresh local fruits.
  • Canyoning
    A thirty-minute drive through the countryside brings you to our base camp.  From there you will be taken in a four-wheel drive vehicle into the beautiful rainforest, which marks the entrance of the tour.  Your adventure takes place within 80 acres of protected land. Our adventure course was built with great care so as to be in harmony with its natural surroundings.   You will feel immersed within the Costa Rican rainforest and experience its incredible biodiversity.
  • Butterfly Park
    Fincas Naturales Wildlife Refuge is a 30 acre private refuge and nature exhibits with 1500 meters ( 4500 feet ) of trails, designed for all ages, conveniently located between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Fincas Naturales is currently researching and developing nature exhibits to help reproduce local species in danger of extinction, including orchids, bromeliads, reptiles (including caimans and crocodiles), and various butterfly species, including their hostplants which are being planted in the Refuge properties.

    The refuge has developed three Butterfly Botanical Gardens, an impressive Aquatic Garden, and the new reptile exhibits. Fincas Naturales is living laboratory of nature conservancy, is example of sustainable development, where you will see a variety of Flora and Fauna, including monkeys, agoutis, and precious tropical hardwood trees. One of the most unique animals to observe here, is the titi or squirrel monkey (Siamiri oerstedii), which lives in a limited area in this region and is consider in danger of extinction. As a conservation project, the mission is the protection of the wildlife and the education of the public to better appreciate these natural resources we depend upon for our survival. The guided tours are in English or Spanish.
