You’ve snorkeled, surfed, gone on a hike through the Park and sped along hidden trails on an ATV, but now what? Rest assured, adventure in Costa Rica is a multilayered experience. Not only can you reach the limits of excitement in the water and on the land, you have the opportunity to take your quest for outdoor enjoyment up into the air – relatively speaking, of course.
Not far from Los Altos, you can strap yourself in and participate in a zipline tour of the rainforest canopy, or you can walk along a network of well-situated canopy bridges. From this unique aerial vantage, you will certainly feel transformed as you defy the pull of gravity.
If hanging out up high isn’t exactly for you, don’t worry. Manuel Antonio is home to a unique and compelling range of avian life. On your own or with a tour, grab a pair of binoculars and direct your attention upward – into the trees or out into the sky. Be patient – your first toucan sighting is just moments away.
